Its slopes and summits are covered by different strips of color, fucsia, turquoise, brown, lavender and golden revealing the formation of minerals, a phenomenon related to the combination of different marine elements from the sea, lakes and rain.

Tour Plan
4:00hrs. We depart from Cusco on a private bus. We travel for the next 2 hours to the town of Cusipata, make a stop for breakfast and then continue our travelling by bus for 1 more hour to the starting point Phulawasipata. Here we will start walking up to the mountain, for 2 hours. You will know when you reach Vinicunca, the impressive panoramic views of the colorful mountain and the Aunsangate mountain range will appear before you.
Once there, you will have the option to explore the Red Valley. You may decide upon arrival.
After exploring the mountain and enjoying the beautiful scenery, we will descend back to Cusipata. There we will have lunch and then head back to Cusco. Arriving at 17:00hrs.
