It is considered a sacred mountain “Apu” and it is surrounded by beautiful unique lakes, each one with a different appearance and characteristics, also considered sacred and medicinal as the Apu, a place where many medicinal men and women are initiated in the tradition of Andean chamanism.

Tour Plan
5:00hrs. We start the journey ascending by bus to Pacchanta (4200msnm)
8:00hrs. We make a short stop to have breakfast at Pacchanta
8:30hrs. We start walking for the next 4 hours, along the different lakes, Azulcocha (Blue lake), Otorongo (Jaguar shaped lake), Pucacocha(Red lake), Alqacocha(Black and white lake) and Q’omercocha (Green lake)
13:00hrs. We are back in Pacchanta where a delicious and well-deserved lunch awaits us.
You may also enjoy the hot springs at Pacchanta before taking off back to Cusco.
